Some evenings ago I was walking in the center of Florence at sunset and I was thinking about how Florence looks completely different in the evening.
It’s when there are less people in the streets as the large groups of tourists have left , and the warm orange light covers every single ashlar work in Florence. This is absolutely my favourite time of the day and the best time to start a guided tour through the cool streets of the city or in the two most visited museums of Florence, the Uffizi and the Accademy Gallery. Let’s start around 6.30 pm and you will have plenty of time to dedicate to your exclusive guided tour of Florence.
Starting from Piazza della Repubblica, we willl reach the two most renown squares of Florence -Duomo Square and Signoria Square - before getting to Ponte Vecchio, the oldest bridge in the city. It will be a pleasure to walk through the charming Medieval alleys and see the austere palaces caressed by the sunset light. And then, after you've seen the key places of the city, we will end our tour of Florence at sunset with a glass of wine on one of the rooftop cafés of Florence. If you are coming in summer, every Tuesday from July to September, it will be possible to visit both museums until 10 pm. So why don’t you try the unforgettable experience to see Michelangelo’s David as well as masterpieces by Leonardo, Botticelli, Raphael, Titian and many others in a quieter and more relaxed atmosphere?
No one pushing you hard trying to take photos of David and no need to rush to get in front of Leonardo’s paintings first! I guarantee you that this will be your most perfect tour of the Uffizi and the Accademia!
