The Brazilian soldiers who fought in Italy in World War II

An interesting lecture on a piece of history that’s almost unknown to many of us: the participation of many Brazilian soldiers to World War II in Italy and the existence of a Brazilian War Cemetery in Pistoia, not far from Florence. During the lecture there will be a short moving video about the experiences of  many young Brazilian soldiers who fought on the mountains of Pistoia to free Italy and died for it.  Mario Pereira will intervene recounting his father’s experiences while he was a soldier  and then, at the end of the war, when he was charged to take care of the Brazilian War Cemetery. The lecture is open to everybody and will take place on 3rd April in Prato at the Mazzoni School (Via S.Silvestro 11, not far from the Prato Centrale train station ).
