Picasso and the Spanish Modernity in Florence

‘Picasso and the Spanish modernity’ is the new exhibition of Palazzo Strozzi in Florence, born from the collaboration between Strozzi Palace and the Reina Sofìa Museum of Madrid. 90 works focused on the influence that one of the greatest artists of the XXth century had on other Spanish artists such as Joan Mirò, Salvador Dalì, Juan Gris, Maria Blanchard and Julio Gonzàlez. The works on display cover the years between 1910 and 1963: paintings, sculptures, engravings, and for the first time displayed outside Spain, an incredible number of preparatory drawings for the famous ‘Guernica’.
