You can have an idea of the possible routes going to the session “OTHER TOURS”. You just have to select the one-day tour which fits for you and directly tell us what you want to know, experience or taste.
"PIAZZA DUOMO" SQUARE - It’s one of the most important squares of Florence. Dominated by the massive Cathedral of Santa Maria del Fiore, by the elegant bell tower and by the beloved Baptistery. On Easter day one of the oldest folkloristic event takes place in this square, the Explosion of the Cart, a tradition dating back to the First Crusade and to the Conquest of Jerusalem.
"PIAZZA DELLA SIGNORIA" SQUARE- It’s the central square of Florence, where the huge Signoria Palace is, built by Arnolfo di Cambio between 1299 and 1314 to be the Public Palace. Heart of the city, many important events took place in this square, among the most famous there was the stake of the monk Savonarola: a plaque on the ground still reminds us of that event.
PONTE VECCHIO - The Old Bridge is one of the symbols of Florence and one of the most famous bridges in the world. It crosses the Arno river in its narrowest point and since the XVIth century it houses many beautiful jeweller’s shops. On the very top of the bridge there is the Vasari’s Corridor, a famous private passage that’s one kilometre long and that was exclusively used by the Medici family to easily move through their city.
"PIAZZA DELLA REPUBBLICA" SQUARE - It’s the old centre of the roman city, where the cardus and decumanus met, the two mayor streets of any Roman city. The present square was built in the XIXth century during works of requalification of the area and it became very famous thanks to its elegant cafés.
