‘Notte Bianca’ in Florence 30.4.2013

Notte Bianca means music, dance, food & wine in the streets and squares of Florence until dawn! Many shops and many museums will be open until late and the city center will be crowded with people willing to enjoy themselves in one of the most beautiful cities of the world! The theme for this 30th April edition will be the flight and its inspiration the book “Jonathan Livingstone Seagull” written by Richard Bach. Thus many aerostatic sculptures and installations will be displayed in Santa Croce and Santa Maria Novella square, as well as acrobatic shows (in Pitti Square and Ognissanti Square). People will have a large choice of events: from ‘Capoeira’ performances (Via Martelli) to ‘milongas’ (SS.Annunziata Square), concerts of jazz, pop, rock and classical music in many squares of Florence and many events particularly dedicated to children (Strozzi Square). Among the museums open until late and with free entrance we’d like to remind the Uffizi, Palazzo Vecchio, Dante Alighieri’s House & Museum, Casa Siviero. In Santa Croce Church you can take a tour of the Main Chapel’s frescoes and in Strozzi Palace you can visit the beautiful exhibit “The Springtime of Renaissance” (reservation required). Enjoy the Notte Bianca in Florence!!!
