Need a tip for the next week end? Florence will house the 14th Japanese Festival, a big international manifestation that aims to promote this fascinating country from multiple points of view. Among the most interesting events we suggest you to have a look at the exhibition by the Toshiba Science Museum, a museum dedicated to Hisashige Tanaka, the founder of this famous company. For the first time in Florence visitors will be able to see the mechanical dollies created by Tanaka when he was only 20 years old! People interested in Japanese sports will have the opportunity to learn more about the Sumo tradition, while if you go nuts for Japanese food, on Saturday and Sunday at 6.30 pm there will be a workshop to learn how to cook Okonomiyaki! We also would like to remind you about a conference on travelling to Japan (on Sunday at 1.30 pm) and of course, don’t miss the Tea corner and the Sushi Bar!!!
The Japanese Festival takes place at the Stazione Leopolda, in Florence, on Saturday 8th and Sunday 9th from 10 am to 8 pm. Admission fee: € 9,00
